The power and charm of the feminine ritual

I’m leaving some words here that I really want you to think over.

And the words are: “The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places”.

The passage is an extract from one of the greatest novels of the 20th century, ‘A Farewell To Arms’, written by the great Ernest Hemingway.

As a coach, I relate to these words a lot.

I see, so many times, how those bruised the most become the champions of their own lives. And I see women capable of finding joy in the midst of sorrow, courage in the midst of pain, and light in the mids of the darkest dark.

But I also know that those capable of that have an extra something in common — the ability and the willingness to change.

Change their behaviour, their mindset, their expectations, sometimes even their environment.

In my many years of coaching women into the best version of themselves, I’ve developed a system that has not only the therapeutic quality of helping them deal with change, but can it is also fun and exciting.

My system is based on developing daily rituals.

Why rituals?

First — a ritualistic practice infuses any flat routine with colours and flavours. It brings in sensorial incentives that help you open up your heart and listen to her fundamental truth.

Also, the sacred space that builds around a ritual, draws a firm circle that allows you to feel safe and protected.

Second — charging daily routines with sacredness gives any gesture the power of healing.

The value of a ritual for healing has strong historical roots in the ancient tradition of female healers; also, rituals are the strongest and boldest way to reintegrate us in the greater scheme of things, and to link the blunt activities of our daily lives with their forgotten meaningfulness.

Third — women simply adore the mystery that develops around the idea of a ritual.

When you enjoy the process, it becomes easier to start doing those behavioural changes that you’ve been procrastinating on.

So, until next, think of a simple sequence of gestures you already make, day by day, and bring some extra meaning and intention into it.

When you drink your coffee or tea, take five minute and pay attention to the way you are breathing and infuse some more clarity to what you’re intending for the day.

When you take you evening shower, turn off the light, light a candle and enjoy the silence. Let go of all the noise and pay attention to how the water quenches the thirst of your skin.

And if you already have a ritual and are willing to share it, jump over to the comment section below and whisper it!? Can’t wait to read it.

Happy ritual, my dear!
