How To Master Emotional Well-being

Here’s an strong question — how comfortable are you with your emotions?

I remember that got me into trouble for many years. I was always very sensitive and didn’t know how to handle my feelings and my sensitivity.

Emotions seemed a chaos, so I ended up avoiding them, while also experiencing them; which was absurd and also painful. ?

When I’ve finally learned that allowing them to be is what will set me free, I was in awe. ? Then, I actually tried it and felt a huge freedom that gave me significant power.

I started to see them, to breathe with them and I eventually understood that emotions were my gift, my power.

My sensitivity was part of my femininity. And by walking with my emotions I started to become more of a woman. Walking through the ups and downs made me stronger and more confident.

One of the most frequent questions my students ask me is — how to banish negative emotions.

And they are always confused when my reply surprisingly indicates to NEVER fight negative emotions. But to stay with them, breathe with them, and integrate their authentic message.

What we don’t see when we put so much effort in swimming against our negative emotions is that, in fact, by doing this we’re NOT shutting down only on fear, anxiety, anger, disgust, sorrow, grief, etc., but on a whole range of emotions, including positive ones: curiosity, enthusiasm, joy, compassion, desire and well, yes… love.

Behind every feeling there hides a fundamental need. Negative emotions surface, most often, from unfulfilled needs.

When we suppress negative emotions, we also suppress the need(s) behind them.

But then, how can we ever reach joy and bliss? How can we ever be passionate and vital if we live on the basis of suppressing what makes us human?

What’s the most efficient way to reach emotional well-being?

By learning how to master emotional detachment.

And here’s a video we shot precisely to offer you a positive insight on that. Watch it now. ?

Here’s what this video will bring you. ?

Rollercoastering through a whole range of emotions is part of what makes us human. So, instead of fighting “bad” or negative emotions, try to take in whatever they bring and ask yourself: what’s the actual meaning of this?

Whenever you feel sad, anxious, scared or furious, due to an overwhelming emotion, imagine how life would look like without any emotion. What comes around goes around.

Fighting emotions is NOT an option. Acknowledging and integrating them is a far better alternative.

Learning how to master detachment is the key to emotional well-being.

Yes, it takes time and yes, it asks for patience. But eventually it springs into emotional maturity.

TAKEAWAY — Emotions are fast energy in movement. When we allow them to be, they can operate as guides, bringing to surface deeper information about what’s happening with us and about our current situation.

And last but not least, breath. Breathing is a miraculous elixir that circulates our energy, helping us to get more clear about the true nature of the emotions we are experiencing.

Next, come over and share with us — what kind of emotion do you struggle with the most? When does it occur? And, most importantly, how do you react when it shows up? Many of us get rather intense when an emotion occurs. And most of the time intensity triggers reactions that we end regretting.

In love & sisterhood,
